It was a perfectly sunny day.....
It was a perfectly sunny day, so I took a photo of an airplane flying over towing a glider... (click on photos to see them better)
Then our daughter-in-law, affectionately known as "DIL" posted photos of our son and their kids on Facebook, showing rain and talking about thunder. They live about 2 hours to the east of us. I said, "Rain???!" It's sunny here!" I went outside to look, and hmmm, actually there was one cloud, and a neat shot of a jet flying over:
A few minutes later, this would be about 20 minutes after I saw DIL's photos she'd posted on Facebook, here is what our sky looked like. I wish DIL could get to our house as quickly as these clouds did:
This shot below is across the valley from us, we estimate 4 miles away as the crow flies. The zoom feature sure does make it look closer!
And so, another day in Paradise comes to an end. :)
P.S. I love cloud formations, if you do too, come and visit my blog from time to time. I live in a spot where they are often dramatic looking so I take lots of cloud photos.

Inside the minds of the artists of PCAGOE
The Polymer Clay Artists Guild of Etsy (PCAGOE) is ramping up for the May Challenge, and some behind-the-scenes info is included in this excellent blog post from the PCAGOE group (click here).
Two PCAGOE artists, Marie Young of YoungCreative and Susan O'Neill of 11BOLDStreet shared their thought processes for their entries (with photos!) You will be inspired along with me, I'm sure. Take a look at their photos below, and then check out their blogs for more info! You'll find the links to each of their blogs here.
Remember, voting for the May Challenge will begin tomorrow, and you'll want to see the great entries in this "Artist-Inspired" challenge for sure. Voting won't be so easy, I can promise you that, but hey, we do what we have to do. :)
Three people will be voter winners at the end of the week, so don't waste any time, be sure to Vote starting May 1st through May 8th at the PCAGOE blog.

Home Fashion
I'd like to share the enormous range of what is beautiful in polymer clay for the home fashion set. It truly is amazing when you realize all that can be done with polymer clay, and this collection of home fashion items shows that well. I hope you'll check out the things that these fabulous artists do with their chosen medium.

And the winners are...
The PCAGOE challenge for January was really fun, and not just the players thought so. PCAGOE has a new format for voter prizes that will prove to be very popular, we believe. There were a lot of voters and the 3 voter winners get to choose their prizes from a big assortment of Etsy shops. Neat!

One of the challenge winners was Susan of 11BOLDStreet of Etsy. She created a new home decor "device" that is totally cool. It's a Pomander Pod filled permanently with spices to brighten up the olfactory senses when you walk into a room. And to refresh, just shake the Pomander Pod and replace on the stand. Susan has made them so that you can turn it over for a different look, as well. Now that's the way to customer's hearts, I'd say.
You can check out Susan's shop here. It's not named 11BOLDStreet for nothing, either. Susan's work is all about BOLD, something she does well.
