Knightwork: Playing with Clay
You will hear more from me on the subject of Betty Jo and Knightwork in the future, I promise. She's a special person with a special sharing way about her.
But as I promised, here is the CAULIFLOWER QUICHE recipe. Aw c'mon... give it a try!
===================================================
Cauliflower Quiche (oven 375 degrees)
1 head Cauliflower Florets, thinly sliced
1/3 c. Onion, finely chopped
1/2 c. Green or Red Pepper, finely chopped
1/2 c. Tomatoes, chopped (more or less to taste)
1 c. Cheddar cheese, grated
1 c. Milk - 1/2 c. Bisquik - 3 Eggs - 1/2 tsp. Salt - 1/8 tsp. Pepper
Place cauliflower in covered pan with enough salted boiling water to cover. Cook with lid on for 10 minutes. Drain, place in greased 9x13 glass casserole dish. Sprinkle with onion, peppers, tomatoes and cheese.
Place milk, eggs, Bisquik, salt and pepper in a blender, cover and whirl for 15 seconds.
Pour over cauliflower mixture.
Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 20-25 minutes until knife inserted in center comes out clean and top is golden.

Easy peasy!!
Now to answer the question in the title - "they both use the same oven"!!! LOL.

I can hardly wait to try the recipe... and I love cauliflower! Thank you for sharing the recipe and thank you for the kind words... I think you are pretty special too.!! BJ

ReplyDeleteHAHAHA, LOVE it!
Sounds like a great recipe to honor BJ.
Oooh... this sounds like a really good recipe! I'm pretty sure I can substitute the milk in it for coconut milk, since the recipe doesn't call for cream (soo many quiche recipes use cream). And I just happen to have all the ingredients on hand right now. AND I love cauliflower. Mmmmm, I know what I'm having for dinner tonight.
ReplyDeleteOh, if I could cook I would! Sounds so yummy, cauliflower and cheese, what could be better?
ReplyDeleteThanks BJ! I hope you've had time to try it, and I certainly hope that you liked it! I love it, will be making it again this week.
ReplyDeleteHi Jacqui
ReplyDeleteLove Cauli so want to make this, so can you tell me what Bisquk is. I think it is flour but I dont know this name?
On one of my archived posts I have a recipe for Cauliflower Rice. I use it instead of rice really good.
There was a video on it too.
Thanks

I know that's the reason you don't come to Thursday's Claypen chat, Elizabeth... although the world is getting smaller, the earth still rotates to the sun 1/2 at a time, LOL, so we can't have day at the same time, can we?
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that we found a solution for you so you can make Cauliflower Quiche! I'm making it tomorrow... yum.
Hi Jackie, Your Cauliflower Quiche recipe sounds delicious and I can't wait to try it myself. Thanks for sharing!
