Stack O' Canes

Oh boy, I've been sadly neglecting my blogging lately. In my last post I said I expected to be back to my healthy self, but that didn't happen. Instead I had a darn relapse! But now, for sure, I am back to my healthy self and back to claying, as well.

Here is a photo of my latest doings... my "Stack O' Canes"! As usual I had a lot of fun making these. The orange set was made to mimic the school colors of orange and grey for the Atascadero High School, the school where my niece and nephew attend. The other two sets were my experiments with putting some of the color yellow into my work - it's a color that I rarely use. I think it worked out well!

Please click on the photo to enlarge it. Thanks for looking.

  1. Gorgeous! Yellow and gold are both great colors to add for some visual "pop". I wondered where you had wandered off to from your blog, and I'm glad to hear that you are on the mend!

  2. Those are absolutely fantastic. To think that when I met you you said you couldn't cane, what a long way you've come, you're doing great. I've started up again, too, both blogging and claying and am working on a tutorial, as well. Hugs and smiles

  3. OMG, Jackie, these are fantastic. I'm in awe. Every time you post new ones they are even more lovely. I'm glad that you've weaned yourself into using some yellow. I think it makes the other colurs really pop. I extra especially like the one on the top left.

  4. Hi Donna! I know, I've fallen off the face of the earth lately... so glad to be feeling better again. That little Lucie was the one who passed this one to me. Someone told me that all kids are "germy", and now I believe it!

Sue! I'll be checking out your blog when I get caught up. You're over there -----> but I have to take photos today for chat tomorrow.

My dear Anita, you're so kind to me all the time. I like that one that's your favorite, too. But of course, I love them all - they're like my "children", hehe.
